Timing drops to 5 degrees when shifting

Post by Crit »

Hi, for some reason my timing is dropping to 5 degrees then climbing back up after shifting. There is no gear retard. I can feel the power loss. Any idea what might be causing it? Happens right at tip in after a shift. Here is a log and the tune. Thanks!

It's only about 1-2 degrees less than the ignition table at that point, and that 2 degrees is probably tip in retard. I think the power loss you feel is from the fuel going very rich (off the scale) after the shift. Also the cam rolling back to 0 will lose power, and might be the cause of the rich AF too.
