Sensor readings incomplete/irradict idle

Post by darqnez »

Hey guys, been having all kinds of idle issues for months, so far replaced the IACV, 02 sensor, ground system, installed a comptech SC, etc etc....mechanics tell me its my KPRO.... i dont know if my KPRO could have been damaged and is now malfunctioning or what but im sick and tired of the idle issues... I also have had the daughter board communication error while just running around town before, and when i had my car tuned last week the dyno guy said that the dyno a/f what kpro was recording were WAYYYYY off, so much so he ignored kpro reading all together...

I think I need a new one...

I did notice something weird tho...
can you guys tell me if this picture is normal, I have obdII enabled and yet these show as not being read, right now i have a comptech shorty, stock cat...

Did the guy tuning your car know KPRO? By "know" take the classes given by Hondata?

I dont know if he had classes but whether he had classes or not has little to do with all the issues i have had in the months b4 going to him.. I also noticed that my iat temp is wayyy off its reading as well....

can anyone answer why readiness codes are showing not complete? hondata any clue to whats going on?

Every time you upload to the ecu you will clear the rediness codes and they will have to go through the process of checking themselves.

that all depends on if the conditions have been met to set them.

well after a week of being "kind of" ok im now back to 2000rpm for idle, its very wierd....

when last i re-uploaded a KAL i had a few days of it dropping the idle all the way to 100rpm, bouncing up to 1500 and then settling at 1000 where its set to be, after a few days of driving it stopped dropping like that but started hinting at going over where its suppose to be, until today when I am back to this situation :

I start the car and everything is fine and normal, then i drive it, when engaging the clutch the rpm will drop normally....then slowly rise up to 2000rpm and just sit there, sometimes if i tap the gas it will come back down to 1500 and rest there, if i turn the car off and go eat dinner or something like that, when I get back in the car and start it, it will idle normal again until i drive, after driving it may go back up to 2000 again everytime i engage the clutch, it may go to only 1500. theres no pattern, its like it doesnt know where it should idle at.

again I have a brand new IACV, and a new primary O2 sensor....

I can say that I had 1 day in the last 2-3 months where it idled absolutley perfectly, and on that day the readiness light ( CEL ) was not blinking and I had uploaded a KAL the day before, out of nowhere it just fixed itself. That only lasted until I uploaded the exact same Kal ( as a test ) and after that i was back to idle being all screwed up.

Hondata guy, If my Kpro is damaged could it be causing this? I looks like i have no choice at this point but taking it to the dealer, but if they tell me its my kpro then im out all that money to have them tell me that, and now have to pay more to you guys to have it fixed. If its possibly my Kpro i could save that money and just get my Kpro fixed....I dont even care anymnore, I just want it to run correctly

I read that about a month and a half ago and have tried all of the listed things to do. My TPS is at 0, tried changing the ign and cam angles, tried dropping idle to 800, etc etc

no luck, with anything... truely at the end of my options i believe
