Switching maps w/o needing a laptop?

Post by Y2A »

Is there any way to switch maps without needing a laptop? I want to be able to switch from low to high boost settings and vice versa on a turbo setup and don't want to lug my laptop around all the time when going to races, so I was wondering if some sort of remote map selector switch can be made to switch between street low boost (pump gas), street high boost (pump gas), and race mode (race gas), just like TurboXS has with their map selector switch for their UTEC:

It's the last item on this page:

So what do you guys think?

You don't need different maps for different boost levels as long as the car is tuned at each boost level. If you wish to change to a higher octane fuel then use the same calibration but use a nitrous setting to add ignition advance / alter fuel when the nitrous is activated.

Awesome, but how can I increase/decrease boost without using a laptop or a separate boost controller? I like to use the boost-by-gear with the K-Pro 8)
