Sounds good. Yeah steady speed driving only populates a select area of cells, so for us to build your tune with the most usable data, stop and go driving is best. The part throttle fueling looks great now, so don't stress on that too much. Looking at a drive like you describe tomorrow will confirm the changes though so that's good. Then just throw in a WOT pull in third gear somewhere from 2500-7600 in third. Other than that though, feel free to drive it however you like, it's in a safe spot to have fun with.

Glad you're happy with it all, you're welcome. Honestly though, once you get the Acuity on and we get a few revisions in, you will be even happier. The Acuity is one of the top intakes for 9th gens that I have worked with and you will notice a big difference. There is a lot of adjustments in the cam angle map we can utilize with the Acuity and your other mods, so it will only get better.

Talk to you tomorrow.

ill make sure i get a couple wot pulls in. highway opens up at a point and i can get a couple in. im really happy to with it. i was going to get the takeda pro5r but on backorder. heard acuity was one of the best so went with it. also looking into buying hardmotions rbc intake manifold kit. comes with a hybrid racing manifold/all the adapters/gaskets and a rdx 70mm throttle with rdc 410cc injectors. seems like that is the next step. im assuming you would also have fun with that. see what you can pull for power. talk to you tomorrow

I think you made the right choice with the Acuity honestly. They seem to shine over every other intake I have tuned for 9th gens. Hence why they run so bad without a tune, they really change the flow entering into the TB.

The RBC used to be up for debate until a VitViper did some testing a few years back. They have a dyno chart showing that there is mostly a loss with using the RBC over the stock manifold up to about 6000rpm. At redline the RBC gains about 11hp according to the notes on the dyno. So, take that into consideration. I'll post a screenshot of the dynograph, and here is the video so you can see it. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=n-ldTpZU23U

Solid line is with RBC, dotted line is stock manifold. I would hate to lose all that mid range power for 10hp up top.

I’ll have a look at your video. I’ve been on the edge about getting that conversion

Sounds good. The tune is plenty safe, feel free to have fun with it while you wait to get the intake on.

Just keep me in the loop. You might email me when you get it on just in case I'm not on here, once the intake is on we need to build a plan to tune it before you drive it too much. The Acuity will change a lot of things in the tune, I'd like to get a quick drive and revision done before you make a longer drive.

Works for me. Yeah they are a bit of work to install. Just let me know, then we'll get to work on getting it dialed.

Hey the intake is in. Do I just do a 20 min datalog with it in and your revised tune or do you have a new one I should use? No check engines or anything at the moment

Sorry for the delay. Take this revision for a spin. This will be the beginning of the complete tune. We start on the 0* cam, vtec will be at 4200 right now. The 0* cam is the least powerful we tune, it's just a starting point, so if it feels a little sluggish don't panic. It will get better as we go.

Same datalogging protocol, 20 minutes with one WOT pull in third. Only do one WOT pull so I can see everything for the intake.
