I ran a couple of datalogs today. I want to double check the calbrations used for each. Is there a way to identify calibrations after the fact?
I tried the Info tab on the datalog graph but it doesn't say the calibration.
Do datalogs identify which calibration was used?
Re: Do datalogs identify which calibration was used?
I don't think there is anywhere it says the calibration for the datalog. Are you comparing two calibrations or something and wondering which is which?
Depending on how different the calibrations are, you can tell by looking at some data in the datalog which file it is.
What model Honda are you working on?

Re: Do datalogs identify which calibration was used?
Yeah, I'm trying to see if the etune file I tried to upload actually was uploaded prior to doing the first calibration.
It's an S2000. I went to upload a tuner's etune file from the secondary calibration storage position. I had the flashpro connected to the car and laptop, and uploaded it from the laptop. When it finished uploading the primary calibration as displayed by the hondata software changed. It was a "stock tuned" map from hondata, and the new primary calibration listed the same version number as the etune I was uploading, but the filename was blank, which created doubt in my mind.
The etune calibration seemed pretty similar to the "stock tuned" calibration from Hondata from what I could tell, though I'm not sure that means much.
I reulpoaded the calibration from the primary calibration position, and afterwards it had the correct filename. I wanted to use the second datalog, but due to traffic I'm not sure I got the pulls I needed.

Re: Do datalogs identify which calibration was used?
I see, can you post the two datalogs in question? I might be able to spot some differences to help you out, but I need to see some things to tell. Also, if possible, I would like to see the calibrations you have so I can compare them with the datalogs. There might be enough of a difference between the two to help out. I just need to see the files and calibrations to help.
I understand if you don't want to post the e-tune file in the public forum, shoot me a PM if you want with an email address and you can send it to me that way.

Re: Do datalogs identify which calibration was used?
Thanks, appreciated. My tuner was able to figure it out, VTEC wasn't supposed to be engaged so there was a clear difference in the logs.
In this case, I uploaded a calibration from the secondary spot from the laptop while the hondata was connected to the car. It seems to have gone through the normal process, but the calibration did not upload. I'm going to bypass the potential problem again by only using the primary calibration on the hondata.

Re: Do datalogs identify which calibration was used?
Glad you got it sorted. I've had customers send me datalogs that seemed weird. After looking through a few data points I quickly realized they loaded the wrong file or had a similar scenario to you. So I've been in your shoes. Perhaps somewhere deep down in the datalog it might store the calibration name, but I don't think we can see it anywhere on FlashPro Manager.mm64 wrote: Sun Apr 25, 2021 9:02 am Thanks, appreciated. Good luck with the car.
