Not able to register used KPRO V2

Hi last year I purchased a KPRO V2 used. I bought it already installed in an ECU. I connected it up following all the steps and it works great. At home I can upload a base map and make alterations. These then upload to the ECU fine. However yesterday I took my car to interpro at Bristol to have it mapped (only doing this now as the car has been off the road). Very helpful up there with great knowledge. They asked me if I had the license and I assumed I had. However when they they attempted to connect to my ECU with their laptop it shows most options in grey. They are unable to datalog or upload and alter calibrations.

They asked me to check that I have registered the ecu with KPRO but I cannot do this as when I go onto the software with it connected to the car it will not allow me to register. There are in fact no owner details listed. The box is grayed out.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

What is the serial number that is on the K-Pro board inside the ECU?

A version 2 K-Pro cannot be registered like the version 3 and 4.

Hi thanks for your quick reply. I did wonder about registering the v2 as I had read something in the guide that it was different but wasn't sure. I have attached a photo of the board. I believe the number is 3809?

Yes this is a version 2 and cannot be registered.

Thats great to have that cleared up. Any ideas on why interpro the tuners can't make any alterations to map? And can't datalog?

It's hard to say without more specifics from them. Are you able to connect a laptop yourself and datalog?

Yes that's the strange thing I can connect and use all of the functions fine. They said that they can see the ecu and the correct drivers are installed but all the options are grayed out to make any changes.

They will have to make sure the software is up to date and that they have a calibration open.

They said they have done quite a few tunes for people with Kpro do I'm guessing they probably know what to do. I've sent them an email with a link to this page as they were the ones who asked me to register here. Hopefully they will respond to the thread directly.
