Ignition +6psi EU model

Post by topcatdk »

Hi

My ignition is jumping a lot up and down under full throttle.
I'm using 100 octane and +6psi calibration.
Also tried with +3psi, same problem.
No problem in stock mode.

Any ideas?

Please post the datalog so we can see the knock retard.

You are using fairly old software - I would update that first.

There's a lot of knock retard and the knock control is high. Seems more like 95 octane than 100 octane.

Hi

I'll try updating.
And if that not changes anything then use Shell V power instead of normal 100 octane.

Software upgraded to latest non-beta and Shell v-power 100 octane.
Fuel tank was as low as it could be before refueling, and datalog was made after 1/2 tank of the new fuel.

Have you disabled the artificial knock? (under modifications).

Yes. That probably is cause of the the knock control rise.

That didn't change much.
Does it take some time to take effect?

Yes it did - the knock control is much lower now.

But the ignition * is still going from -5 to +5 under full load?
Is that okay?
With standard calibration its almost flat.
