I have a k20z3 engine and trans in an eg civic... I’m using a Ktuned engine harness and Ktuned conversion harness...
Kpro v4 which I also pitched through Ktuned a few months ago... sent my prb (02-04) ecu directly to hondata...
All works perfectly except my Speedo... I swapped the wires in the vss plug, enabled countershaft vss option and I pinned b11 and connected the wire to b10 on the original ecu plug to send the vss signal to the speedometer... once connected the Speedo “works” but as soon as the tires roll in gear the Speedo spins all the way around a couple times and then stops again at 0 until I slow down then it winds back down... it’s not intermittent and does the same thing consistently...
Anyone have any advice on how to proceed to get my Speedo to work correctly again?
Thanks!
Speedometer spinning very fast...
Re: Speedometer spinning very fast...
For the Speedo in the dash to read correctly you will need to get a speed converter to alter the high frequency signal to a low frequency signal.

Ah, ok...thanks for the reply!
I was going by a post by brian gilespie on his midnight oil YouTube channel explaining that the converter is not needed if: the kpro is v4 and installed by hondata...
he explains that if those conditions are met then all that is needed is a wire from the b11 kpro ecu plug to the b10 vss wire on the old Ecu plug... is this just not accurate?!?

This is not accurate and may not work.

Thank you very much for clarification, I appreciate it... I’ll use the Ktuned css converter that I purchased...
