Weird VSS/Countershaft question in kPro

Post by Kniff808 »

2004 k24a
2005 Accord 5 speed transmission (speed sensor in front of the transmission.)
Kpro V4
K tuned VSS converter (for dash cluster)
All in a 95 Honda Civic

-I selected countershaft speed sensor in Kpro and get "0" on both VSS and VSS input.

- Out of pure curiosity, I selected Normal Speed Sensor and then my VSS in Kpro works perfectly.

- Is this normal? Haha. I've heard something about it being 5v not 12v and it's going to burn out my speed sensor. Any input at all would be appreciated or things I should check. Thanks guys!

I attached a datalog if you're curious.

IF you have a speed converter, then you need to leave it set to normal as that is the signal that the ECU is seeing.

Thanks Spunkster. For some reason I thought it only converted the speedo, but that's great to know. Hope this helps someone else.
