Hey, new to this forum if this has been covered before let me know.
I recently turbo'd my 8th gen, all was running fine then code p2128 comes up. APP sensor E voltage high. I put a new APP sensor in it, didnt help. Looking at the live data while the car is idling, when I step on the throttle the ecu is picking up the accurate throttle pedal position. Also when I manually open the throttle body the ecu sees the accurate throttle plate position. I've got no idea whats going on. The throttle motor is clearly working because when the car starts up cold it'll open to about 7-8% but when it's warm drop to 4-5%. Seems as though the ecu isnt telling the throttle to open when I press the throttle.
Anyway now on to the title of the thread. Since I'm doing all this throttle work I might as well convert to drive by cable. The conversion itself seems pretty simple. rsx-s throttle, pedal, and cable, maybe switch some pins on the harness for tps I havent looked that far into it yet. But will the ecu be able to handle this? I'm already tuning on speed density so I would assume its not an issue.
Any feedback or links to someone whos done this before would be greatly appreciated.
DBW to DBC conversion
Re: DBW to DBC conversion
No, you cannot convert it to a cable throttle body.
