AirC% taper/drop.

Post by touge tom »

to whom it may concern....

Like the title says, why does the AirC% taper/drop off? Is it due to compressor inefficiency at higher rpms?

Just to be clear I mean in the boost per rpm table for example at 3k rpm the 100ron tune starts at 245% and by 7k rpm it has tapered to 205%.

To limit target boost in order to make more power. At some point the extra boost just creates heat and retards the ignition enough that less boost gives more power. In other areas the air charge limit is used to stop the fuel pump from running out of fuel.

And on another note.... why are the PA & PA IAT2 so high? From what I've researched this TD04 has a maximum of 2.9 PA.

You're have to ask Honda. They go to 3.6 PR stock.
