1) The reflash includes the new rev limiter setting. The 02-04 rsx had TWO reflashes, one with a stock rev limiter, and one with a raised rev limiter. Hondata doesn't seem to have one that uses the stock rev limiter for the 05, and they generally don't take custom reflash requests. If enough people asked for one, they might come out with a reflash with a stock rev limiter, but I imagine that the lack of people who went for it on the 02-04 had something to do with their choice to only do one flash for the 05+. Almost everyone I have ever seen with a reflash on their rsx ecu had the one with the increased rev limiter. It's basically free power, why not take advantage of it. Unless hondata comes out with another reflash for the 05, you cannot keep your stock rev limiter.
2) Your acura dealer will always be able to *find* a reflashed ecu -- but they would have to go looking for it. It wouldn't show up with their standard set of tools for troubleshooting. If they were trying to diagnose a problem with your engine computer, then the fact that your program was different may be discovered. Even if the dealer discovered the different contents of the ecu, from what I've heard from people, they just reflash it because it doesn't match the factory program. Hondata can probably provide more details about exactly what can be detected -- but in the general case, they will never spot it unless the suspect your ecu is to blame. Now, my kpro on the other hand has a big hondata sticker and a usb cable sticking out of it -- *that* is obvious.

1. We do not offer a stock rev limit reflash.
2. Yes, by looking at the CVN. Search for Moss-Magnuson for more information about warranty issues. Note that the dealer cannot overwrite the reflash easily because the reflash process includes a version number check, and the Hondata reflash will usually show as more up to date than the dealer calibration.

In the case of a leased car, what happens when you return the vehicle? is it possible for the ECU to be reflashed back to stock? obviously not by Hondata, but by the dealer. And are there any reprecusions?

thanks, and one more thing
Although a little premature, what would be the cost associated with reflashing back to stock? I would like to order the reflash (very soon), but wanted to clarify prior to.
