Ap1 kpro 4 no start

Post by Mikeedc »

I just bought this kpro used from someone locally. I’m having a crank no start problem. The fuel pump prime when I turn the ignition. No spark when I remove the coil. Thanks in advance

Did you buy the whole kit with wiring, sensors and valve cover?

Nvm I got it running. I erased the ecu security and put new calibration. It’s running little rough on idle tho. Now my other question is do i need to get it tune or Is it hard to tune it myself?

I'd start by installing a wideband so that you can see what the lambda is.

I got it running good now. I have a check engine light and I disable the code p0135 because I have a hf cat. Can I drive the car around with this calibration for a while or do I need to get it tune asap?

You will need to datalog and make sure that the AF ratio is safe, and that there is no knock.

Do I need wideband to check the airfuel ratio. I tried datalogging and the a/f wasn’t changing (14:7) the whole time. Do I need to turn on anything before I datalog because I don’t see anything on my tables. Last question is do I need my laptop connected to ecu when changing the fuel map and ignition?

Yes you need a wideband to be able to read AF. Yes the laptop must be connected and you can only use Kmanager to make any changes. YOu must also have your calibration open to see the tables.

Oh ok so just the white and brown. And the black and red ( run with inline fuse). Aemnet + & - not needed and the blue as well
