Base RSX k20a3 K-Pro V4

Post by nhbp.rsx »

Hey there, I'm looking for into on what I need to make this work so I don't end up spending more money.

Trying to run Kpro v4 on the base.

(edit, I have the adapter & the 02-04 o2 Sensor)

I already have Kpro, had downloaded Kmanager & loaded up a PND basemap until I got to the tuner. Found out later that we couldn't get the secondary runners to open (turns out its not supported with the because the ECU is a PRB ecu I think) I did datalog a few drives before because of the P0661 CEL/Code.

Because of the lack of the secondary runners I was making a lot less power compared to the stock PND ECU.

So from what I've learned, if I swap to a Type-S Manifold(PRB) I can run everything should be able to run smooth? (Going to be getting a type-s throttle body, heard the fitment will be better, compared to the a3 TB)

Car: 2005 RSX Base 5PD MT
Mods: K-tuned race header, 3" exhaust, intake is stock.

Thanks

Yes you can change the manifold, but the power band may not be the same. Also do not expect Type S power levels.

I don't think I'll be getting anywhere near Type S power, I'll be happy just as long as I can run smooth & do some pulls while getting groceries ha.

Thanks for the response.
