Low Boost/Hi Boost

Post by Bmatt2020 »

I was wondering if there are certain parameters that need to be met before Kpro will accept the changeover from hi/low boost? For example, If I have to come to a complete stop, wait a few seconds etc... The reason I ask is because I've used the switch successfully recently, but for some reason it's not working right now. On low boost I have it set to 8 across the board. On hi boost I have it set from 1-2 to 8psi and 3-6 to 14psi but after hitting the switch (while driving) then immediately doing a pull in 3rd I'm still only registering 8-9 psi. Also is there any sort of feedback from the ecu that tells me the ecu can see the switch as being active? I'm using E22 brake switch as my hi/low switch.

Please post the calibration, and if possible a datalog.

Cal and logs posted. Come to find out, on low boost the boost solenoid is at 41 % (I'm commanding 8psi/30% duty) and on hi boost setting the solenoid is at 42% (Actually pretty close based on boost table).

Are you using live tuning while doing this?

You do not have to, it was just for more info.

I would recommend that you go to the online menu, tools and erase the ECU, then close KManager, reopen it and then open your calibration and upload to the ECU.

Ok I erased the ECU and re-uploaded the calibration and it didn't work. I did end up figuring it out though. I had my ethanol boost compensation at 100%...
