s300 v3 sensor issues?

Post by decdec »

Hi,

currently have a s300 v3 in a p28 for a turbo b16, i am experiencing a strange issue where on cold start the s300 is reading 150deg for IAT and ECT:

This is preventing the fuel pump from priming and being able to start the car.
However If i leave the ignition on for 10-15 minutes eventually the sensors start reading correctly, the fuel pump primes and the car starts and drives as normal.
once the car is warm if i turn the car off and on it operates as normal and i cannot reproduce the issue again unless the car has been sitting for a few hours.
I am not an auto electrician an do not have access to the person who tuned this car, can someone give some advice on how i would go about diagnosing this issue.
The car also has a burton cop kit installed so just swapping ecu's around is not that easy and i do not have access to another one to test anyway.

Thank you.

IT could have something to do with what has been modified in the ECU. Have the capacitors in the ECU been replaced?

I would recommend that you replace the capacitors before doing anything else.
