Post by Clappedb18 »

I just bought a turbo civic I have no idea about the existing tune. Anyway I can retrieve it from the car it’s self I tried old owners I won’t be able to get it from a person. I was told if I tried to connect without existing tune on computer I could corrupt it is this true and how do I retrieve tune if possible. I just want to datalog... I’m scared to corrupt it and be screwed tho. I have hondata S300 v3 I believe

You can go to the Online menu and try downloading. Once you upload to the ECU you will overwrite whatever is on there and be stuck with what you have uploaded. If you just want to datalog you do not have to upload or update anything.

I tried watching a lot of videos but nothing was straight up. They said the download button would probably cause corruption too

But if I go to online connect to my ecu and only go to data logging I shouldn’t have any problems?

Datalogging will not have any effect.

They get the same readings and are equally accurate.
