Analog Temperature S300 V1

Post by 93INTEGRAB16 »

Hi

I have an S300 V1, and I am trying to fit 2 NTC Thermistors to measure pre/post intercooler temperatures. I understand I can use pins D12 and B6 as 0-5V Inputs. I have removed R2 and R3, and I also installed the .1uf capacitor in C42. I am using the 1.5K ohm resistor between the power and signal. I'm using pin D19 for the 5V reference and D21 as signal ground. I'm using a GM Delphi 25036751 Sensors, and I've configured the inputs using the temperature to voltage chart. I understand these sensors are non linear, but I've taken 12 points from the curve and this will be sufficient as the temperatures are simply being recorded and will not be used for any closed loop corrections.

My issue is that after I have the sensor wired into D12, I am getting 0v showing in Hondata for Analog input 1. Meanwhile the voltage at pin D12 is 3.1 V measured with a multimeter. I have the voltage conversion table setup correctly, so I am not understanding why I am not showing the correct voltage in Hondata.

Thank You

Double check you have the right pin on the connector. It is possible the ECU is missing some other component for that input; the easiest thing is to try another input (B6) and check that works.

Check to make sure D12 has the required component in the ECU: http://www.hondata.com/help/smanager/an ... ghtsub=d12

Thank you for the help,

I have the sensors working in Hondata now. However despite having the Voltage conversion table configured for both inputs, the temperature always displays 75 in both the display window and in the sensor data list. What's odd is that when I change the units to volts instead of integer, I can see under the sensors data that the sensors are inputting a variable voltage into the Hondata. The voltages are changing but it seems as though the conversion table is not or perhaps I'm doing something wrong. Below I have attached my calibration file.

Thank You

Change units to volts - where? Are you confusing the v2/v3 settings (in the calibration) for the v1 settings (which are in SManager)?

In the "Sensors" window where it displays Analog1 and Analog2 if I right click and select properties it opens up the "Sensor Settings" Window where I can change the units for both Analog1 and Analog2

Sorry for the delay, but here is a datalog.

The version 1 s300 you have does not have the capability to use the analogs listed in the parameters. You can only use the 2 analogs listed in the Options, Settings menu.

I'm using the inputs, B6 and D12, the voltage is working and changing with temperature but the voltage to value conversion does not seem to be working as it does not change in correspondence.

Wheat settings are you entering in the options, settings. analog inputs tab?

your values are entered backwards. You should start with 0 voltage and as you go down the column, the voltage should increase to 5 volts.

I didn't think that it had to be in order. Thank You!
