Customized WOT tables don't work with KPro V3 and PRA ECU

Post by MingLotus »

Hello Hondata specialists,

it's about a WOT fuel issue, which is annoying. The ECU is a PRA, the KPro is V3 and the SW of the KManager is 4.4.1.0. I set up under Parameters - Closed Loop Advanced - "WOT compenstation from WOT compensation tables". What I see during tuning is that A/F.CMD still follow first the "Closed loop to Open loop Switch" which is set to 80 kPa and second it follows only and always the 0.85 lambda rule.

The issue is, I want to have a linear lambda declining curve from 70 kPa to 90 kPa, which is setup in the WOT compensation tables. But it doesn't follow it. The issue would be solved by setting Open to Closed loop switch to 110 kPa, but I want to run the Narrow band also later after tuning in closed loop, which would not possible then for WOT conditions.

I would appreciate your help.

Sorry, it is going to be at least a week before we can test this.

Hello Hondata,

just a short report about my improvisation approach. I made a calculation model for the injector duration map to align the aimed lambda with the measured lambda including the corrections. It works out with running 3 iterations (30 % correction bandwidth), but it is no solution I like. If there is a possibility to setup the WOT comp table correct, please let me know it.

Kind regards

It is not possible to test this until we have access to vehicles at work.

It works ok on the PRA, but you need to copy your WOT compensation tables to the cat protect tables.

Thanks Hondata, that makes sense. Seems like the CAT protection mode is active in many many WOT operation points. I will give it a try.
