2012 Civic Si HFP Flashpro calibration request

Post by crossovercrack »

Hello, I recently purchased a 2012 si that came with flashpro. Car has :

Invidia Q300 exhaust
RV6
Takeda air intake
RDX 410cc injectors

I was able to determine the current flash tune was only the basic flashpro "reflash"

Im looking to acquire a calibrations that supports the mods on my car

Please and thank you in advance for assistance

Is the file you're driving on setup for RDX injectors?

Do you have any datalogs with this calibration in the car?

Are you looking to do a complete custom tune, or something that can be done in less revisions? A complete custom tune can take 12 or so revisions, where each cam angle is tuned. The other way to do it is take a completed file and make only the necessary changes for your car, usually maybe 6-8 revisions. Let me know on these questions and I'll see if we can help you.

Yes the file was already set up for the 410cc injectors

I can do some data logging, have not yet. Overall I'm looking to get the best performance out of the modifications that are already done on the car

I'm certainly open to a few revisions to properly tune cam anlges

Sounds good. Make a datalog in the twenty minute range with mostly stop and go type signal light to signal light type driving. Try to avoid steady speed cruising on highways/freeways. Then throw in one wide open throttle (WOT) pull in third gear from 2000-redline so we can see the WOT fueling.

Are you having any issues, rich or lean, knock, or just want to clean it up as best you can?

Also, when you post the datalog, please post the calibration file you have as well. That way we can look it over and have a base to start with since it's already set up for RDX's.

So i ended up loading one of the pre-loaded maps on flashpro. It's supposed to be for what i have on the car basically. I just added in the 410cc injectors. It had my laptop hooked up data logging (forgot to hit record like a dummy..)
and was noticing it was running pretty rich. As much as 10.5 to 1 AFR under part throttle acceleration. Also noticed on deceleration the AFR is 27.40?!?
Does that have anything to do with having the secondary o2 disabled?

I will make a proper data log tonight and post along with the current tune file, thank you for responding by the way

Did you change all the injector dead times as well? Or just change the injectors cc from 310 to 410?

10.5 afr means it’s probably even richer than that. That is where the sensor has become very ineffective at reading proper afr. So that would be the first concern.

The gauge should actually go to 29.xx when you let off the throttle. That is the injectors shutting off and essentially no fuel is in the mixture, therefore it reads 29.xx which is it’s max range. So you want 14.7 or so at part throttle and idle, 12.8 or so at WOT. It won’t always be dead on those numbers to the tenth, but they should be very close.

If you haven’t changed the injector dead times there really would be no reason to make a datalog because it won’t adjust the fueling properly. Though entering in the proper dead times if you haven’t would show if the tune gets better with the correct dead times.

Are you using a MAF tune or speed density tune? That would also make a massive difference in many ways as well.

Sorry to throw forty questions at you, just trying to see where you’re at.

OKay..I did not change the injector dead times yet. I though I only needed to change the size. Im very mechanically inclined, but a noob to tuning I will admit. I did make a data log but I guess there's no point until I change the injector dead times. How do I do that and what should I change them to?

ALso the current calibration is using MAP for fuel tables and wide open throttle

Lastly, and I sorry I'm new to all this. How do I post/share my current calibration file?

have you downloaded it out of the hondata flash pro, if you have done that already there is a tab at the bottom when you reply that says attachments,

from there you should be able to browse your computer to where you have saved the data log to
if you have not saved it to your computer yet and it still remains in the flash pro.

make sure hondata is connected to your computer
open up the flash pro manager,
click on the flash pro tab
in that window there is a data logging tab, click that
now based on how many data logs you have saved there can be many files.
Right click what ever log you want and hit save as, Try to come up with a naming convention, i like the month and day and the revision of the tune i am on currently,
Save it to a what ever location you like on your computer, i use a secondary hard drive for all my flash pro stuff just to stay organized

Once that is completed then just follow the steps above and you should be able to attach it here

let me know if you have any other issues

Yes he seems like a solid guy for sure so far. It took me almost a day to post my data log and calibration file so I'm in no rush for him to reply, I'm sure he will. Although I am very eager to get the tune cleaned up in my beast hahaha.

Yes the car is very rich. I would recommend taking it easy until it gets sorted out. In some places it's pulling 40% fuel trims at idle.

Your calibration is corrupted when I try to download it. Can you please email the calibration to me so I have it? I PM'd you with my email address so I can get the calibration from you. Then I can see what we can do.
