cam and camcmd not matching

Post by dc5greg »

Vehicle - 2002 Acura RSX Type S
Kpro Serial numer - 3809
Software Version - 4.4.2.0
ECU number -37820-prb-a05-2068-509615-0e22

When I went for a tune, my tuner noticed I have this issue with my vtc cam angle my CamCMD and CAM arent matching each other on my kpro. My CAM right now stays at 0, which is actually technically retarded 25* in that position. i've changed the vtc solenoid and still no luck. i have a turbo 2002 acura rsx type s with a k24a2 bottom block with k20z1 head on kpro. datalog is attached. thank in advance.

Is iVTEC enabled in the calibration?

You need to fix that vacuum leak before tuning.

Try the ECU in a known working vehicle and see if it works properly with VTC on a different vehicle.

VTEC or iVTEC? Post the calibration.

iVTEC is enabled. So it is the ECU, the wiring or the engine. We can't tell any further from the ECU side.

Just swapping a different K-Pro into the ECU has not narrowed it down enough. You need to try the ECU in a known working vehicle to see if it works properly in that vehicle, if it does not, then the ECU may be damaged and would have to be replaced.
