Expanding air charge tables.
Expanding air charge tables.
Hi all. I was just curious. I have noticed the air charge tables only go to 230% on the ignition and cam angle tables. And I've noticed you cannot expand on these , for example say 250%. So say for instance if the air charge overshoots 230% how will this affect the ignition timing tables and the fuelling requirements. Do the ignition timing tables act as a ceiling for the maximum ignition by load/ cylinder filling and RPM. Will the ECU retard the ignition if the air charge is exceeded by the maximum set amount? Or am I missing something here?
Re: Expanding air charge tables.
The fuelling is calculated and doesn't use air charge. Ignition values will just stay at the the high column. We know the air charge is ok at 550 hp but in theory the tables could be rescaled.

So.... from what I understand now with your reply. Is that if I was to demand more than the factory air charge. Say 300% for example. I would pull ignition timing accordingly from the 230% column. Because the software can't allow us yet to graphicly "see" beyond the 230% as yet. Until we can edit the the index or add more columns?
Re: Expanding air charge tables.
No, the table only has columns up to 230%. The software displays all the columns.

so we physically can not exceed the 230% air charge even if we demand a greater value%?
