Post by NIKO »

alright folks here my problem...
i went to a shop in sandiego called engenuity.
i ordered my k20z1 and some other things.
i also got the toda n2 package... i did some research like mad research... on things about the ecu.
the shop told me that they were gonna send my ecu to toda and they were just gonna reflash my ecu and told me that the reflash is the same as the kpro...
i know that the 05 ecu is different from the k20a2 ecu, and im gonna need the harness for it..am i correct??
i hope they dont f*ck me over.... im pretty worried...
how would i know that the reflash they will give me will be the kpro instead of a k100... please help...thanks...

If your car is a 02-04, there is no need to use an 05 ecu.

No need for caps there, buddy.. I think there is a bit of confusion, so lets go over a few things..

First, the reflash is NOT the same thing as the K-Pro.

Now, in order to understand your situation, we have a few questions:

1. You mentioned that you are buying a K20Z1, WHAT kind of car do you drive? (year/make/model)

2. You do know that the 2005 RSX ecu is NOT currently upgradeable, and that you will need to use a 2002-2004 RSX/Civic Si/CRV ecu, correct?

Thanks.

Second, never, ever, ever, never, ever, ever, ever trust the information you get from the guys at Enginuity. They will tell you anything just to get your money. They will sell you a set VTC gears for a B series and tell you it will work just fine. Take 1/2 of what they say and then listen to the people that have been around abit. If you want, I can give more information as to what to do with your car than they will.

I am not kidding. They told me that I needed a VAFCII because K-Pro couldn't the handle the abrupt changes that I-VTEC had to make. I laughed, paid for my nitrous jets and left. Still made over 300WHP.
