Kpro fueling problem.

Post by K20RX7 »

Hi guys
After successfully getting the fuel curves correct for 0 vtc I then went on to tune 10 degrees vtc to find that my changes don’t change the afr. It doesn’t matter if I add 5% or 40% to the map it doesn’t make any difference to the AFR. Closed loop or open loop, it always runs lean. Fuel pressure builds with boost, not sure what to try next - have any of you guys had any experience of this?

Also when vtec comes in it goes pig rich like 10afr even although the numbers are matching low cam fueling?

How are you locking the vehicle to run on the 10 degreed tables only?

I am just populating the low cam vtc table to 0 until 1500rpm then the rest of the table to 10vtc.

Command showing 9.
Actual bang on 9 also.

Even in closed loop. Target afr 11.5 and actual 12.8

If you go to the VTEC section of the parameters window you can lock VTC to a specific number of degrees to make tuning easier.

I seen that yes. I will try use that function.

Even at 9deg I didn’t think it would interpolate from other tables that much?

Like I say. I’ll try that function. Once I’ve tuned them tables on low cam I’ll start on the vtec tables.

Ok ok. Soooo we have some improvement.

Using the locking feature 10deg vtc still not taking fuel but saying that. 20,30,40 do and 0,10,20,30,40,50 do in high cam

So it seems that for some reason it’s only 10deg vtc on the low cam that won’t increase fueling. Strange. None the less the rest is doing great

Make sure you are editing the fuel table for the cam degrees you have it set at.

Of course.

So I have found that every other angle in low cam and in high cam tune fine.

Just not low cam vtc 10 table?? Weird.
