Engine stall after refuel - JRSC Race and Reflash.
Engine stall after refuel - JRSC Race and Reflash.
I have the Jackson Racing Race Supercharger kit with the reflash on my 2003 Civic Si. The car runs well except when I refuel. I noticed there is no pressure released when I unscrew the gas cap and when I refuel I can smell fuel under the hood near the fuel line/fuel rail inlet. When I try to start the car it will sputter out on the first turn-over. If I open the throttle up and turn the ignitnion the engine will start after it turns over for about 3-5 seconds and then I have to hold the throttle open a bit to keep it from stalling. It feels and sounds way too rich. After I drive slowly for about 2 miles the car is then perfect and shows no signs of any problem whatsoever. I was wondering If you could point me in the right direction as to how I can fix this. I'm only guessing, but I'm wondering if it has something to do with the evap system; I can't really tell. There is no Check Engine Light, the spark plugs look like they should (Denso IK24) as well. I'm a little confused. Any help is greatly appreciated.
problem solved
The problem has been fixed. It had nothing to do with the reflash, I was just trying to cover all bases hoping somebody would know. It turns out that the evap purge was switched with the bypass hose...somehow...I have no idea what happened there, but the car is running normally.
