Setting idle speed and max rpm
Re: Setting idle speed and max rpm
Haha that makes sense for the idle issue then - i was under the impression Smanager could still control this idle rpm without the IAC, obviously not with your response.

Under the above location there is a maximum rprm setting.
I have tried setting the rpm to something like 6000rpm to prove it works but it climbs way past this until i let off throttle

Re: Setting idle speed and max rpm
that is not the rev limiter. that is only used for the speed limiter.Grigg1 wrote: Sat Apr 27, 2019 1:39 amSmanager-Parameters-Rev Limits-speed limiterSpunkster wrote: Fri Apr 26, 2019 4:59 pm Please describe the issue more clearly, as I do not understand.

the rev limiter is labelled rev limiter, at the top under that same tab.
Re: Setting idle speed and max rpm
But that setting is in SManager, which we already determined you shouldn't be playing with...Grigg1 wrote: Sat Apr 27, 2019 1:39 am
Smanager-Parameters-Rev Limits-speed limiter

Notice how it's in the box clearly labeled "speed limiter". And the first of the 3 boxes is labeled "Rev Limiter".
Ok, let's recap what we learned!!
1) idle air control, controls idle
2) speed limiter, limits speed
3) Rev limiter, limits revs
4) alt+ F4 will close SManager and save your engine from damage.
