Kpro4 Alternate Speed Input

Post by AREA876 »

92 Honda Civic
Kpro: 48429
Version: 4.3.6.0
ECU: 37820-PND-A55 SN: 2063-503531
K20A3 Base Map.kal
I have a question about the alternate speed input, the Kpro4 vss input and the original vss are they both to display the same values?

What sort of transmission speed sensor is it? How did you set the pulses per distance?

The sensor is getting it's reading from the gear by the final drive, I currently have the pulses maxed out at 499999 per mile and I still can't get speed to match GPS

I have tried going lower with the pulse but the reading seems to get worst. At 499999 it's about 10 mph off, but I still get a VSS error

If the speed sensor is the final drive type (not the 3rd gear sensor) then your pluses per mile should be in the 10,000 range not 500,000 range.

Setting the pulse to 10,000 per mile resulted in 336 mph
