I did contact them and they are the same units..

Except for the obvious the M300 has a front display and the SM-AFR does not.
Beyond that PLX said they are exactly the same



electronically they all function the same. If you want details on how the products differ I would suggest contacting PLX ...

I search this thread with no luck finding a Stock LS vtec tune..

Can I load a B16A and work from that ?

my question is a long the same lines

What is the difference between the M300 and the SM-AFR

The SM-AFR doesn't have a front digital display ?
And is that the only difference ?

As I was thinking of getting the SM-AFR and dm-5 it is slightly cheaper

Any feedback on that ?

So with a S300 install on a P06 the regular install is done http://www.hondata.com/s300socketing.html

And the P06 will be able to activate vtec if my wiring to the ecu is correct?

Hondata does not convert non-vtec ecu's to vtec.

I have the complete list of the resistor ...

I was told that the knock control circuit was calibrated to each engine type. So for a B16A using a P30 would be the ecu and using a P72 won't be a good idea.

Then again the stock knock control was for a stock engine. And that keeping it wasn't the best idea on a modified engine ...

B16A JDM OBD0, want a s300 on a obd1 ecu, which ecu ?

Hi guys..

I have a JDM OBD0 B16A that orginally was running a PR3.
Upgraded to a p28 running a s200...

Now I want to upgrade to a S300 and want to know which ecu is the best choice ? My s200 on the p28 is being sold...

So what is the best choice ?
-p28 or p06 or p30?

I guess a big question is if ...

Ok this is a really good question...
I have a 91 Honda CRX putting in a B16A OBD0 engine that has been upgraded to OBD1 P28 ecu with hondata etc....

I have a donor connectors from obd0 ecu and obd1 harness.
So far wired up the adapter harness no real problems.....

Hasports wiring off there web ...
