Changing the injector size will automatically compensate the fuel tables for the rating of the injector (but not for the specific characteristics of the injector). Also the cranking fuel and throttle tip in fuel are compensated based on the injector size .

i have a problem car that i'm helping with. tunes fine on open loop but goes dead rich immediately when closed loop box is checked. i set all compensation trims to 0 just to try with no difference. timing does not change appreciably. any ideas before i shoot the ecu and start over?

ecu has a bad driver in it... does your o2 heater control work? easy fix, i see it quite often.

the rectangular framed ecus must be used for the s300. usdm p72 have both the iab and knock sensor, but any obdI civic or integra ecu can have iab control added. so the knock is really the big decision for you.

your harness's ecu plug will not connect directly to an obdI ecu so you have two choices ...

tip for drilling and tapping the mani without removing it: remove the vac line from the fpr. attach a blow gun into it. while you drill and tap have a buddy apply air pressure through the vac line. the chips will be blown out as you machine the hole (so wear safety glasses!).

to clarify: 1996 was the changeover for iab.

the solenoid is the same, just the wiring is different. the other reason i rarely suggest modifying the engine harness is that then you can't just pnp the stock ecu anymore.

first, the iab fix recommended by carchitech is the best fix , though trying to explain it has ended up with dozens of questions for me in the past.

when you unplug the usb do you disconnect/reconnect ANYTHING on the ecu harness/plug? change o2 wire, eld, etc.?

also, are you comparing the datalog to you wbo2 display or are you looking at the wbo2 display with and without the usb?
