Found the problem. VTEC spool error disable was checked in the software. When I unchecked it, I got a CEL and fixed the issue (bad splice). The car revs comfortably to 8K now and pulls all the way.

I also noticed that the cal was in open loop and that the stock 02 sensor threw a CEL so I've changed the cal to use the wideband feedback and run closed loop but I think I need to lower the target voltage as after driving it a few days the AFRs seem a bit lean. GSR/B18C1 swapped civic ex, p28 S300.

Car drives pretty good with the "stock usp72" cal. but had issues revving out past 6K and VTEC doesn't engage. Wideband showed very rich and I tracked the prob to the catalytic converter self destructing and choking the car out. Now the cat is gone but It'll ...
