if it's a 29c256 eeprom chip, and the p28 has the jumpers and capacitors installed to access the chip, it should be able to be reprogrammed. The s200 setup also includes an interface box that you will need.

vtec on s200?

I've got an s200 setup with my h22 and I don't think vtec is engaging. When the eeprom was burned, my tuner set the high cam change at 7000. Is it possible for me to override his setting if I set the rpm change point for the high cam? I've tried doing this and the car acts like it's bouncing off a ...

car does not drive with hondata external IC enabled

Today I disabled the external IC by the jumper on my pr3 ecu. After doing this the car drove fine. When the hondata system was enabled previously, the car would not drive over 5mph. What most likely is the cause for this problem? Could it be that the eprom was not configured properly? This would ...

ECU Identification

I have a 37820-PR3-J51
455-102566 ecu. This is an automatic ECU right? I'm having problems with driving it unless I remove the speed sensor. Could the fact that it is an automatic cause this problem?

Thanks,
Jon

thanks for you input. I decided that the only difference when the car is moving and stopped is the load and the speed sensor, so i unplugged the speed sensor. Bingo, the car revs in gear just like it revs in neutral. Does this mean that the speed limitor is set too low? Could the speed limitor be ...

H22 Civic Hondata stage 2 does not drive under load

hey,

i've got a 94 civic hatchback with a 97 prelude engine. I just got my hondata stage 2 the other day, but I am unable to tune it. The problem is that under a load the car will not drive well. It moves then tries to stall around 1K. The engine will rev up fine when it's in neutral, but just not ...

Weakest link? ECU?

I've got a civic with a h22a4 swap. Just to get it running and on the track, I installed a p28 ecu out of a civic si. I get the feeling the engine is not living up to its full potential...the p28 doesn't have a lot of the control the stock prelude p13 has. My best time at the track was a 9.3 in the ...
