Re: s300 v2 on Windows 10

Have you tried restarting the computer?

Have you tried using a different laptop?

Well, as an update to this post, I have a mixed bag of news.

I tried restarting the laptop I initially tried with multiple times and even uninstalled/reinstalled Hondata and drivers before trying another restart ...

Re: s300 v2 on Windows 10

What does it show up as in the Windows device manager with the ignition on and the USB plugged in?

Inside Device Manager under the USB Controller category, it sees it as Hondata S300 ECU with a yellow exclamation mark. The details state that "Windows cannot load the device driver for this ...

s300 v2 on Windows 10

Hey all, sorry if this has already been covered, I've searched and am stumped. I'm trying to install my s300 v2 that hasn't been in a running car since 2013 into my new build. I have it all hooked up and my laptop (Windows 10 on a Panasonic Toughbook / intel core i5 processor) recognizes when the ...

well I have the obd2 harness and alternator, so the plug matches the harness. I assume that means that my problem is a dead alternator, and not that I need an OBD1 alternator. If that's the case, then thanks for the help. I'm ready to drive again haha

edit - took the alternator to the ...

Alternator question...dumb I know

sorry for such a stupid question, but for an OBD1 setup, do I have to run an OBD1 alternator, or is the OBD2 still ok? I ask because I JUST got my car driving with the new swap, and my alternator is doing absolutely nothing. I assume it is dead, but do I need to replace it with an OBD1 or stick with ...

well just an update: The tune doesn't look to be the culprit anymore. I pulled my old spark plugs and three of them looked super rich, and one looked almost new. Did a compression test and got this:

Cylinder 1: 70psi
Cylinder 2: 130psi
Cylinder 3: 0psi (this is the one that looked almost new ...

You can't just take a base map, enter your injectors and go. You have to adjust your fuel maps for your setup(get tuned).

Ok, so it is safe to pull fuel back with that scaling method though? I'll be installing a wideband in the next week (have to get a exhaust built first), and then I'll be able ...

Why am I running so rich?

Hi, I have a b18b1 with forged 9:1 pistons, and a 16g turbo. I'm running RC 440cc injectors. I took the p74 basemap and adjusted for the injectors, along with disabling the vtec spool check problem, and I'm running filthy rich. The car does run, but it's fouling out plugs left and right. I've tried ...

Check that your anti-virus software has not disabled or deleted SManager.

Thank you so much. I uninstalled AVG and it works great now. I'm going to try and see if I can install AVG after the fact and it still work, but I should be able to figure it out from here.

edit - for future reference if ...

Ok so do I have to do something special to get it to work? I just tried the most recent non-beta version of Smanager as well as the beta version, and they both come up with this:

Unable to execute file:
C:\Program Files (x86)\SManager\Smanager.exe

CreateProcess failed; code 5.
Access is denied ...

64-bit windows vista + hondata s300

Someone please tell me they have made this setup work. I didn't even think about it when I bought the laptop, I just liked the nice stats on it, and now I realize that the 64 bit versions still have compatibility issues. I know windows supposedly has a compatibility manager, but it isn't in the ...
