jbbauer,
I believe HONDATA (CAT?) responded with something like this on this forum. I believe you connect to D22 GND? I can't remember, but it's in here somewhere. If you go to another GND then there might be a slight voltage offset which you can accomidate for in your Custom WB table within ...

Actually I figured out that the chip is from TI. The EEPROMs can be 90ns as that's what I saw on my buddies P72. And the it is a Molex part .. MTA100-4.

I'm not a technician, but it seems logical that any 5VDC out can be converted to AFR/Lambda with the conversion table.

Sure, they way Hondata structures the pricing you can just buy the S200 with RomEditor and a programmer with some PROMs and go about tuning/burning PROMs.

If you want to datalog then you need the datalogger and if you want to edit tables then you need RomEditor. Romulator is a useful device since it allows you to real-time tune the ECU in car. Other than that, that's pretty much all you need to start tuning and logging.

If you are going to tune yours and/or other peoples ECUs then you would also need access to a dyno and a wideband. If not, at least a wideband and possibly the G Sensor Hondata sells. Other than that a few E(E)PROMs and you are ready to burn!

There's no specification on the Output cable, but I'm assuming if it's a 0-5VDC out and you can connect that to the stock O2 wiring harness. As long as they give you a Vout vs. AFR graph then you should be able to enter that into the custom Lambda table in RomEditor. Might not even have to be 0-5VDC ...

The GM 3Bar MAP sensor upgrade is just a different MAP sensor that you install. You can buy the MAP sensor from GMbuypartsdirect.com or something like that. All you need to do is wire up 5VDC and GND to power the sensor and then splice the Vout (sensor signal to your stock MAP sensor wire) and voila ...

That's true ... I came from DSMs and 11 psi is pretty low. Usually 20-25psi is the norm depending on what turbo. I forget these B series motors are high compression.

To answer the original question, if you are getting the system tuned by a shop then I second the S100.

Don't you also need a new MAP sensor? Doesn't the stock MAP top off at some low boost level? Just checked and the stock one max's out at 11psi according to Hondata's site.

Question Regarding Installation

I'm about to buy a used Stage 4 with the hopes of learning/starting to tune (at a cheaper initial price) and eventually upgrading to an S200. What I'm interested in are the components that install into the ECU. I've got a P72 ODB-I ECU.

1. Is there a specific D-latch chip that I should buy? The ...
