The first thing to check is that you have the right ECU for you vehicle - OBDIIA or OBDIIB. Your car should be OBDIIB. Note that you can successfully plug the connectors into an OBDIIA adapted ECU, so you need to check that the ECU says OBDIIA.

I'm new to this so please bear with me..
I purchased the S300 + P28 ECU bundle.
This is going into a Civic SI 2000 (B16A2). Since this ECU was esentially "plug and play" I plugged it in, put the S300 in it. Once I did that the ECU would not turn ON meaning that on the S300 there are little LED's ...
