Re: Piston change - Need help adjusting my turbo basemap
when you go to make changes to your fuel tables, be sure you are looking at the fuel table and not
the timing map.
there is a high speed timing, low speed timing
high speed fuel , low speed fuel
the difference bewteen high and low speed map is vtec
in vtec is high
not in vtec is low

Re: Piston change - Need help adjusting my turbo basemap
is there anything i can do for the idle? do you just adjust the cells that it sits on when idling, and keep reducing fuel until it idles at 14.7?
thanks :)
thats exactly what i do, just be sure its at operating temp,
i like to set up the coolant temp compensations, and air intake compensations ...

Re: Launch control "popcorn" ?
I haven't done it but, I have read that it is from adjusting the values so it's rich and timing retarded.
so when charge ignites, it flames out of the combustion chamber, to help spool big turbo.
this can be potentially dangerous cause of the increase in exhaust gas temp in exhaust ports, manifold ...

Re: Piston change - Need help adjusting my turbo basemap
If you can, wire up the 5v from your wideband to datalog with ecu.
use the offset voltage to get reading to match your gauge if you need to.
then you can review your data logs, and make adjustments as nessary.
what I do is look at the estimated %change table, and recorded a/f table, and just tweak ...

Re: Piston change - Need help adjusting my turbo basemap
rent a trailer.
Closed loop doesn't work well, until the open loop maps are close to tagert a/f ratio.
you need to run your car in open loop,
watching your wide band, set your idle and adjust the map + or - to get to 14.7 a/f.
