Re: VTEC Window

Hondata wrote:The ECU can only cope with pressure up to atmospheric (around 102 kPa).
Thanks. That seems like a strange limitation considering that the stock MAP sensor will read up to 175 kPa give or take...

Any comment on the ability to enter 150kpa? Possibly a bug in previous version?

VTEC Window

What is the maximum pressure we can input into the VTEC window lower boundary?

In my experience, using K-Manager 1.5.1 (and 1.4.5) it will truncate any values greater than 102kpa to 102, but another tuner / K-Manager user said his software allows him to enter 150.

I first tried this using a ...

Thanks for the update, I'll test it out tomorrow morning :)

In the main Table, drop down, went to WOT comp(cat protection) low, and high speed. I am unable to edit these tables. Like if I select all, and hit control D nothing changes? I want to know since I am not using a cat. Also the Same goes ...

That looks like a problem - the knock sensitivity and knock retard high speed tables are using the low speed rpm index. Will fix this Monday.

Thank you :)

I have one more issue to you can add to the list - VTEC stopped functioning in my car (2005 RSX Type S) after uploading the tune I built in ...

Knock sensitivity tables

Testing version 1.4.4.0

While comparing my knock sensitivity high and low speed tables, I noticed that the RPM values for each row on the high speed table were the same as the RPM values on the low speed.

Is this a display bug or some other issue?

Note that in the attached calibration, I have a ...

has anyone found a solution to this? it gets real tiring when your in traffic.

Solutions are: Overrun cutoff, TPS adjustment, and possibly igniton/fuel adjustment in columns 2 and 3.

My car used to jerk when decelerating but now it is perfectly smooth after I making adjustments to the parameters ...

I wonder if this is brought about by the car knocking for a long period of time and the retard tables in the ecu. I remember reading some analysis from hondata on the K series ecu and how it based everything off retard tables or something along that line. I wonder if these are being used since ...

Water temperature 169F and air temperature 105F are at least part of the cause.

Thanks for the info. I thought that water temperature was pretty normal though.

Any clue as to why I would lose 3 deg timing with these temps while Razathorn/Wayne is getting full timing at 190-200 deg coolant and ...

There are about 40 ignition compensation tables, with many only used under certain cirumstances. If there is significant compensation it is usually from a parameter being well outside normal values - eg people who use a lower temperature thermostat.

What other parameters can cause it? My ignition ...

Ignition datalog does not match calibration

K-Pro serial number: 4537
Vehicle: 2006 RSX Type S
Mods: Basic n/a mods, nothing that should affect the ECU.

Problem: My datalogs show a 2 or 3 degree lower ignition value than the calibration tables command. Datalog and calibrations attached.

Edit: Just read a post by Hondata in another thread ...
