Re: AIM MXL dash

the AIM can read the CAN-bus directly, they have a config for the euro civic FN2 ecu .. just not sure if the CAN protocol for the US/Canadian ecus is the same

i tried last night and had the same problem .. access violation windows just keep poping up over and over when you try to download the map from ecu (after the dialog box that says you should double check the map)

on windows 7 64bit and version 1.4.2

Can you post a screen shot? Is this with an on-board datalog or a laptop recorded datalog? What type of laptop is this?

with the on-board data logging .. downloaded after track sessions
it's an old compaq presario r3000, happens on battery or plugged in.

might take a couple days for a screen ...

datalog saving with 1.4.1

on my laptop (win xp) 1.4.1 seg faults at the end of completing the datalog "save as.."
the datalog file is created.
the error is either a null pointer access or invalid pointer access.

didn't have this error with 3.6, 3.7, or 3.8

if it matters, the map in the ecu was uploaded last from 1.3.8 ...

it's the percentage change from the autotune base table to get to the target lambda table

+ = need more fuel
- = need less fuel

this article explains it some more

although it seems that this image has it backwards

i get it too .. there seems to be a bug in the software when it converts between lambda and air fuel in some maps

try this:
open any base map
in the menus.. Options->Settings->Units
switch the Lambda Unit
close map
re-open your map

you might get a bunch of access violations .. kill the program and ...

the way i understood it is that the stock o2 sensor is used for closed loop (unless you use a 1v analog wb output to the stock o2 sensor input).
the 5v wide band input is used for autotune and datalogging.

IAT sensor

does the ecu default to a set value if there is an error in the IAT readings or is an error code generated and it goes into limp?

i'm looking at my logs and my air temp is stuck at 76.3F (and no error codes), i tried another sensor and got the same reading... just looking for a hint before i go ...
