turbo car?
i've tuned my own and other prelude turbo cars with hondata and i can tell you that the maps supplied by hondata are worthless and will get you nowhere (not sure why they are so bad). in any case, best to start from scratch like any tuning job. i've had no problems.

sorry, i wont share ...

whats the problem?
you cant adjust them without a dyno.
you just add and subtract timing starting with the exhaust cam (i find that the best way) until you find increases in torque and horsepower.

j12 question

has anyone had a car lope during idling by not cutting j12 on a p28 when using an s200?

i was under the impression that that jumper did not affect a cars fuel or timing just the datalogging and romulator connection.

i had a car tuning session today where cutting j12 took away the poor idle quality ...

thats funny....
i discovered that over a year ago. the p72 typically is the one that hesitates the most. same maps on a p28 never hesitate if tuning was correct.

In almost all cases, adding fuel to column 5 solves the hesitation (as much as 15% over the hondata target lambda--you will be at about ...

I am having the same problem. Only with Hondalogger. It will freeze and not record anything.

Doug just emailed me and said to shut off real time updating. I have not tried this yet.

give it a try and let us know if that solves the issue please.

ok, now that the software has a place to adjust the calibration, has anyone worked out one that works?

then hondata needs to redo their calibration settings in the software, right?

i understand that, but why every car I've tuned now has this issue? obviously something is dropping the voltage, assuming the logging software is using the standard conversion. i am not the only one reporting this.

exactly....

the conversion within the hondata software is off (reads too low!!)
that is what everyone seems to be getting. anywhere from 3-4 psi too low.

I hope that Derek is seeing this.

Re: 3 bar

[quote="Dariusz"]I like to aclarate some details, reading the posts of other people:

"1) This in not a bug of the S-200 (or other Hondata software), as I write in one of my posts (in this thread) this is a problem in the GM 3bar reading.
"

I disagree with you. I have verified this on 4 cars now ...

Something similar to this happened to me. But I was using the stock MAP sensor. The boost gauge reads 14psi while the logger reads 11psi.

I ignored it thinking that the boost gauge was in question.

i've reported the same errors, about 3-4psi higher readings with other pressure sensors hooked to ...

actually, The p28 rom works quite well in the p72 ecu. The p72 roms have a hesitation issue and if you run a single runner manifold like the skunk2 then i highly recommend the p28 rom in the p72. It gives a very smooth acceleration and idle that I just can't achieve with the p72 rom no matter how ...

i too get this problem of the ecu wanting to lower the target idle to 650 when i have it set for 750. I set my fast idle screw as outlined to 450 with the iac unplugged and then no matter what i set the iac to it keeps idling down without any electrical load on the engine to 650 or so which is ...

sonny,
ever see a case where the target idle actually changes in hondalogger?????

that is what I am seeing! what causes that? i have it set in the rom to 750. i haven't seen it ever budge before in hondalogger like it is in my car now.
