Swapping S300 from a full fram PR3 into a P72JDM

Just trying to explore avenues for getting an ECU up and running in light of a problem with my current ECU , was wondering if I can swap my S300 from my OBDI PR3 ECU (full frame ECU) into a JDM P72 (small frame ECU)

Is it possible for me to do this? I see that the S300 has a heatsink on one of the ...

It does not look like it has been replaced. I would recommend replacing it before it catastrophically fails. If you cannot do this yourself, your nearest Hondata dealer should be able to help you with it.
Thanks Spunkster, it looks like it has leaked, can you suggest anything to clean it up with ...

I think what Luke is trying to say is the normal operation of your ECU will compensate for the extra/reduced air from your different intake :)

It's the normal operation of closed loop; ECU reads O2 level corrects, reads O2 corrects, etc non-stop :)

How do I know if Hondata replaced my C14 cap?

A couple of years ago I had my ECU sent to Honata for S300 installation.

A short time after this I saw the tech article on the front page suggesting this is done.

How do I know if my ECU had the C14 cap replaced?

If the cap hasn't been replaced and the cap leaks all over the board, how do I ...

DIY Shift light - how do I read the RPM signal?

I'm making a custom shift light, and I've hit a bit of a snag;
I can't seem to find anything anywhere about how I should tap into the OEM Honda RPM sensor/signal; ie should I have a resistor on it, a diode (was going to do this anyway - so what value should I put in there)
What voltage does the OEM ...

Have a look at your datalog where u jump off the gas......
Now have a look at the injector data.....

Notice they have switched completely off, like about 0.6sec(or whatever u have it set too) after u jumped off the throttle?

Its called 'Fuel Overrun CutOff',its an emissions/economy/etc feature,its ...

So I went out for another shot at tuning tonight.
But this time instead of relying on the onboard datalogging I decided to have a go at realtime datalogging.

Seemed to have more luck this time, as we were adjusting fuel based off the estimated fuel change table that was calculating as we went ...

You shouldn't have to keep loading an unmodified calibration to the ECU. Perhaps I'm not fully understanding what you are doing...
You're right I shouldn't but I'm having limited success tuning the current values, or I'm having success tuning the current values but the datalog is telling lies ...

Having trouble tuning... [edit] Datalogging problem?

Ok, so I've had a Hondata S300 for a while now but have only recently bought myself a PLX wideband to do some tuning.
Engine mods are:
S300
ITR IM + TB
Cheapy 4>2>1 extracters
No PS, AC
PLX Wideband
Hondata IM gasket
Stock injectors
Chassis is a 1992 DA6 (JDM) Facelift so has OBDI.

I've had some ...

I can Hold the throttle down while shifting from 2nd to 3rd and 3rd to 4th and it won't bog
So what you're saying is, you can flat shift without it bogging?
I have the same 'problem' however I've narrowed it down to a very touchy launch control/clutch switch and/or a slow clutch foot.

Try ...

Have you checked that the S300 daughter board is fully seated? I had a mates car that had similar issues and one of the issues was that through multiple plug/unplugs of the USB cable the daughter board had tilted to the point that some of the JP2(?) pins had lost contact.
Re-seated the board & the ...

just remove it altogether ?
Um, 'it' could be lots of things, but I'm going to assume you mean the power steering pressure switch/plug.
If I'm plugging my LC/FTS into the plug removing it (the PSPS) would be a dumb idea. Cause then my LC/FTS won't work.

I've pretty much resigned myself to having ...

The clutch switch has nothing to do with the power steering.
It does when the clutch switch is plugged into the power steering pressure switch plug.

Power steering replaced with manual rack, freed up the PSP switch plug. I've used that for the launch control/FTS.

So every time I get on/off the ...
