I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling the latest version of firmware and software downloaded from this website. I followed all directions, plugged the usb cable into the laptop and into the S300, turned the ignition key to the ON position, yet still nothing.

I checked again the USB under windows ...

Nothing shows up under the device manager.

I've tried looking at all of them and S300 doesn't show up.

As a matter of fact, now that I think of it, it must have been my gauges beeping... but the CEL did blink a few times before the engine shut off on its own.

Also, I installed all the USB drivers and updated everything I could. Still no communication between laptop and S300. Just in case, I did ...
