my question is could my retarded timing causing hot EGTs make boost creep since hotter gasses have more energy? this would make the turbo keep spinning while the WG is open

Yup. Retarded timing can result in boost creep.
There is a decent thread on HT about this. Do a search.

8psi

The car has been dyno tuned and has not had any problems until today.
I am new to Hondata, but feel very comfortable in tuning it in every aspect.

When i received this Hondata, there was a receipt included from Hondata indicating the previous owner had purchased a Max232 Datalogging chip.
Is this not present on the board?

I purchased this used. Was told it was a 2b w/ datalog, but cannot connect. Tried all port settings (1-4, flowcontrol, FIFO buffer, etc...)
When I select ECU information, I get "communication error"
Sometimes get a popup: "This system does not have datalogging enabled"
Using Hondalogger ver 3.0.8.0 ...
