i read somewhere that on a Stage 3 hondata S200 that if the hondata box is not connected to the ECU the car wont run correctly. i currently have a check engine light on and i have a hondata 3 p28 ECU. but i dont have the ribbon cable that runs from the ECU to the hondata. im getting it soon, but ...

what if the CEL stays on and you can still start the car. would that be possible say if you accidently got a p72 chip instead of a p28?
