I doubt that we would see something like that in kmanager. It could potentially be too much of a liability.

I've played with razdyno before though and it looked like a pretty good tool.

Why not just limit revs to 6500 and raise vtec to 5k? That should still allow the mechs to properly test drive the car without issues.

And/Or just lock all cam angles to 0 which should be the safety map.

Need controls for Electric Power Steering

Installing electric hydraulic power steering using the mr2 pump has become somewhat common.

I was considering using the nitrous controls to simply turn the pump off when cruising on the highway (i.e. 6th gear). Unfortunately the nitrous controls do not support gear selection.

I can not simply set ...

Not hitting all of the areas on the map for part throttle tuning should not hurt your fuel economy. You mostly need to focus on the section you hit when driving. However if you do not tune all areas then it *will* affect your short term and long term trim. During normal driving, you hit all areas of ...

Remember that on cold start, oil pressure is ridiculously high on most cars because the oil is cold. I see roughly 70psi on start when the car is cold. Once warm is settles out to about 20psi @ idle.

As stated, your tune shouldn't impact oil pressure at all. Oil pressure is all mechanical.

My ...

I'm using the IGN maps from the hondata provided k20a map and they work great in my setup. The fuel from that map didn't work at all for me, but the IGN is great :) However 93oct is standard in my area.

If the ecu is changing fuel that much when in closed loop, then sounds like you still need to work on your fuel maps.

How long are you driving/logging when you drive to do part throttle? I use to just drive up the street to a shopping center and back. Maybe 15miles or so round trip, but a lot of it ...

No need for a map like that. The best way to do it would be to tune the low vacuum columns (1-4/5) for economy. That will do more for overall fuel economy than a 6th gear map alone. If you have the A/F set properly in those areas, then you can just set the cam angles for economy.

GUI bug w/ k-manager v1.2.3.3

Looks like a GUI bug. The boxes are not sized correctly and are very difficult to use. To see this go through the following :

Parameters -> Nitrous 1/2/3 -> Fuel & Ignition

Unfortunately this tip doesn't work for me. I'm a big unix user and I installed the TweakUI powertoys from Microsoft for XP. I have X-Mouse enabled, so a window is only active if I have my mouse over it. So if window is off screen, can't put the mouse over it and I'm stuck.

Any plans for KManager to support filters for datalogging?

Are there any plans to allow KManager to support filters for datalogging? For example, I would like to set kpro to open loop and just drive around and do things like :

- Only record a/f and datalog when in 3rd gear
- Only record a/f and datalog when on high cam
- etc.

Also when you load a datalog ...

I just ran into another fun variation of this bug. Apparently last time I ran k-manager it was on the second monitor. I just launched k-manager and it is trying to put itself on my second monitor which is not currently attached.

Looks like in KManager.ini there is :

Somewhat annoying bug w/k-manager user interface

I've been bitten a few times by an annoying bug w/k-manager.

The problem appears to be that the save dialog/window pops up on whatever screen k-manager was originally opened up on.

This is a problem because I use dual head monitors at work. I might have k-pro on the second monitor, then I'll move ...
