Hondata

it was tuned last Thursday with the version that came out April 27th. I can now use my pushbuttons to change my rpm features. All i need to do now is get the USB/Serial adapter and i should be good. Thanks guys.

Sorry for all the question, but i appreciate your help on understanding this system. My Hondata has datalogging capability, can I use the Rom Editor 4 that is under the "downloads" section of your website to use the datalogging feature? Or do i need to purchase a different version? No tuning here ...

Well, i did realize i was using the wrong users manual. 5 flashes=rev limiter. However, it still wont change. I can change the launch limiter and shift light just fine. Any ideas?

Page 4 & 9 of the S200 users guide says that the overall rev limiter can be changed using the pushbutton. However, later on in page 9 it lays out the flashes/function. 1=launch 2=cam change 3=shift limiter 4=shift light. So how do you change the overall rev limiter??

So with ROM Editor 4 can i use the Keyspan USB/Serial or do i need the blue and white Hondata cable shown in this thread http://hondata.net/forum/viewtopic.php?t=5899 ??

Hmm, maybe i'm getting confused. On your main page, under the software tab, i downloaded and installed "ROM Editor 4". Is that not what i need? I was tuned last week, and i'm 99% sure he used 4 also. S200-3811 . Can you tell me all the features that i should have with this. I bought it used from the dealer/tuning shop. I know i have a two step at least since it works now. Also from what i understand, only the Keyspan USB/serial cable will work with Hondata right? None from Best Buy or Circuit ...

so only my tuner can change the rpm features? There isnt a way for me to do it at home? Thats basically what i'm tryin to find out.

99% he said V4, I think thats why he said the pushbutton no longer works as the setting mechanism for the rpm features. Is that right?

Just got my car tuned on S200b. The tuner setup my 2-step and such through the software, and not by use of the pushbutton. He said i can go to Hondata website and get the software to change the 2-step, shift light, full throttle shift and such but i'm not sure what i can use. Do i need to pay for ...
