Yeah, I called transtronics today and they said most likely it got zapped from static electricity. Needless to say I wasn't wearing a ground strap when handling it so I'm not surprised. From now on I'll be wearing a ground strap.

romulator problems

Hello All,

I've been a hondata user for a number of years now and have recently had some problems with Romulator. I have an s200 system with datalogging and all. I hooked up romulator, created my rom that I needed in Romeditor V3.5xx. I use usb->serial cables to connect to the hondata box and ...

depends what map the .bin file is based on i think. like if you used a p30 based map on a p28, the bin will probably look for a knock sensor and not find it and throw the code. And being a b16 engine there's a good chance the bin is based off a p30. that's my guess.

I always start out with the JDM P30 maps. Then scale it for injectors, fuel pressure and displacement. Don't change the injector multiplier, fuel pressue, and displacement ntil after you've created the map. And add boost tables. You can choose how much timing to pull per psi or just go with the ...

Steve, the person was asking whether or not he could use the hondata datalogging software with a stock ecu, not whether or not other software existed that could do this.

yes, i am aware of this. I was just pointing out it can be done. Being that this is a technologically based forum I just ...

No you cannot datalog from a stock ecu. THe Hondata rom and interface box are needed for any datalogging to occur.
wrong. you can datalog from a stock ecu. It's been done. You can't necessarily use hondalogger to datalog but you can datalog.

The K pro is made for ECU's that have a flash programmable chip. The OBD2 ecu's on civics and integras before 01 don't have flash programmable ecu's. they are EEPROM's that are surface mounted. Hondata adds a USB port to the K series ECU's to download the new software to it. You can't do that with ...

if you do convert to hondata you won't need your 2nd O2 sensor.

But the idling problems probably won't be fixed by hondata. Sounds like you have air in your cooling system. If you took out your thermostat you opened up the system to air. If you didn't bleed it when you put it all back together ...

that and it would say "hey, you don't have datalogging". Instead I get "can't connect"

I'm not saying this to make you sound stupid but you are having some sort of connection problem. I have tried this and it will say datalogging not enabled or something. So if you can't connect then you're ...

yes, you can use that s200 with your turbo LS motor. You will need the cord/cable to go from the blue box to the ECU. the datalogging cable is just a regular old Serial cable you can get anywhere computer supplies are sold. Do you have romeditor? If so you can create yourself a basemap.

need help with techedge install

Hey all,

I've got the hondata stage 4, the Tech Edge Wideband Unit (Vers 1.0), and an NTK L1H1 sensor. I have a question about how to hook it up. Can the version 1.0 hook up to the O2 sensor signal that goes to the ECU? I'm not sure. This is how I imagined it would hook up:

Take out the front 02 ...
