Well, to update the ongoing cel/idle saga, I fixed the check engine light last night (temporarily). The rubber plug inside the coolant temp sensor has come loose, so I'm either gonna have to find a way to keep the rubber in the connector, or replace the connector. So that takes care of the cel!!!

You're talking about putting the paperclip in the "front" side of the connector, where the female plug WOULD go, and where those pins from the female plug WOULD make contact, correct?
