Well, to update the ongoing cel/idle saga, I fixed the check engine light last night (temporarily). The rubber plug inside the coolant temp sensor has come loose, so I'm either gonna have to find a way to keep the rubber in the connector, or replace the connector. So that takes care of the cel!!!

OKAY!! I found what I believe to be the diagnostic plug. It's not blue, but grey, and was in a green rubber cover thing. I jumped the two wires and the light didn't do anything.
