I had some bother with my ECU, so I opened up the case.....

....and discovered that as with everything a great product can be tarnished by a poor installation!

The first problem I had was the ECU blowing fuses. This I discovered was because a screw that should have been holding the main ...

The datalog was taking when the engine was not running correctly.

I have since found the problem, but do not know what was causing it. The reason I say was, rather than is, is that the fault has now gone, and hasn't yet come back. :?

What I established was that injector 1 was seeing 12v as soon ...

A quirky running issue that came from nowhere....

Dear all,

I have a problem with my K20A2 running on K-pro, so first things first:

- serial number : 2003 (if the box supplied with the K-pro is correct)
- the calibration : Hondata supplied PRA - K20A2 dyno tuned (310cc)
- a datalog : I can't provide this, and I will explain why below.
- what ...

Thanks for the reply, I didn't plan to change it, just wanted to understand what it is doing.

This is all I saw in the manual: "The amount of ignition retard from throttle tip in can be adjusted by gear. A value of -100% is minimum retard; a value of 0 of higher is more ignition retard. "

Is there ...

TPS Ignition Retard

Hi,

I've read the help manual with K manager, and searched the forum as best I can, but I have not yet managed to grasp the purpose of the TPS Ignition Retard feature in the Gear Comp section of parameters.

If someone would explain the purpose, and the effect it has, that would be most appreciated ...

K20A2 Miss-fire

Hi,

I have a K20A2 (totally stock) and a PRA K-Pro ecu installed in a kit-car, here in the UK.

The car is not road legal yet, but has previously been running fine - tested by driving the car on private land.

Today I started the car up, having not touched anything engine related, and the engine ...

Correct lambda sensor for PRA ECU

Hi,

I'm wondering if the OEM lamdba for a PRA ECU is just a standard 4 wire zirconia (?) item.

I have installed a universal 4-wire lambda on my car, and it's signal is getting to the ecu. Curiously though, when the ECU is closed loop mode, the output voltage of the lambda is not swinging to ...

Since posting I think I've worked out why this is happening...

Does this sound logical?

I have a vacuum leak, causing the revs to rise, when they get to a certain point the ECU cuts the fuel as it thinks (from the throttle position and revs) that the engine is in over-run. The engine then reaches ...

Thanks for replying.

I have a helms manual, but I'm wondering how appropriate it is, given I don't have the ELD wired in.

Engine won't drop to normal idle speed, and injectors cut

My posts are getting quite regular as I try and get my k20a2 working in my kit car....

I am having a problem, which is much as is stated in the title:

When I start my engine, it runs initially seemingly fine, though the revs are quite high - around 2.5k. After the engine gets a bit of heat in it ...

Not charging

Hi,

I have a k-pro and a K20A2. I can start the engine, but for some reason once the engine is running the alternator isn't charging the battery.

The engine is installed in a standalone capacity in a kit car, and thus there's no EDL input to the ECU.

Do I need to give the ECU a signal on the EDL ...
