I have a bone stock 2000 civic lx with a D16y7 motor w/ a 5 speed tranny. I believe that my transmission is going out on the car and wanted to know if a D16B Tranny is the same or will fit on the car? I am currently unable to obtain any ID numbers off the tranny.

I have a completly stock 2000 civic lx. I had an alt problem, which I was told "this is the reason for the SRS light" when I bought the car in 2003, but had that fixed.
