yep, tried every which way and nothing, when the software is opened it automatically does the update check.

I too just got this, fresh install on a brand new laptop, my other ones all have this same version and their all working.
so maybe something with the hardware being too new ? Also tells me usb drivers are not working. i dont have a S300 to plug into as of right now.
