Hello All,
I need to barrow or buy a P30 USDM B16A ECU for a CA. Ref. inspection. I guess just the external case with the sticker will work also. I went to the ref. the other day and passed the smog with flying colors, but the ECU I had in the car is the JDM PR3 and they failed me for that, and only ...

I see 275 WHP and 225 TQ an attainable HP level. The major problem in this set up is the exhaust. Knife edgeing the crank is imo a waste of money at this HP level. There will be little HP gain if any, and engine life can be reduced if the crank is not balanced correctly. An exhaust system on a turbo ...

Your gonna have some interface issues, since it sound like you are trying to put a 92 and later obd-1 engine/ecu into a 88-91 obd-0 car. Well there is no easy way around it. I took a 92 and up civic body wiring harness and merged it into the crx body wiring. It took over a week to do, but when it ...

I guess you can use a non-used output to control the VTEC. What ever output is free in the ECU and switch the Vtec to that output through SManger. Then wire it to that pin and it will become your new VTEC solenoid control. maybe the A/C control. but im not 100% sure because i have never explored or ...

It will work fine, but the will be nothing in the ECU (S300) to control your VTEC of your IAB. So it would be pointless to use your P06 S300 on that H22A. If you get the VTEC killer cams and remove the IAB then it would be great. Adding a turbo on top of that would make it stupid fast. But for now ...

There is not enough information to provide a good answer to your problem, but ill try :) The oil pressure switch (idiot light) off the back of the block, is just a light. It does not have any affect on the VTEC. There may be a low oil pressure issue, but not likely. I would leave the VTEC switch ...

It almost sounds like a lean misfire condition at idle. If the HC and NOX are high in the exhaust this would verifiy that there is enough unburned fuel to indicate a lean condition. Try adding more fuel at idle, get the A/F to 14.0-14.5 @ idle. This is more important in areas you are closer to sea ...

There is something way wrong with your set-up. Is the wastegate stuck open, or major leaks in your IC piping? Blowoff valve stuck open? Cat melted inside and restricting exhaust flow? cause should be making alot more then 170whp. I dynoed a bone stock B16a with just an 2.5" exhaust and got 165 HP ...

If you got low comp pistons and upgraded rods already then turbo charging is the way to go. The difference is it will cost a bit to get turboed, but the power will be worth it. The turbo powerband comes on alittle later then the supercharger but get alot stronger in the higher rpm range. The only ...

Try checking the rest of the ignition system first ie.. spark plugs , wires, cap and rotor. I had a high mileage 95 GSR come through with a bad coil. Mileage 200k and the plugs were wasted. The plugs was over .060 gap and the electrod was worn to just a nub. The plug wires were orignal. but the coil ...
